Do's and Don'ts for Job Interviews in Fargo and Moorhead

Take a few moments and give yourself a hand: you've finally scheduled that job interview! Now, before you relax too much remember that, there’s quite a bit you need to keep in mind as you interview for Fargo jobs. Here are some things you should do, and some things you definitely should not do, that will help you land that position.

1. Do practice before interviewing. When you try to improve your piano-playing skills, or learn another language, you practice. Why not do so with a job interview? Working on your delivery, anticipating questions, and perfecting your tone can only help. Get some friends to do a mock interview with you. The stress of the job interview is something everyone can relate to, and they’ll be eager to help.

2. Don't interrupt your interviewer. Interviewers can do a lot of talking, and what they have to say (particularly regarding the company) can be important and informative. You would do well to listen more than you speak, and you don’t want to come across as rude or desperate.

3. Do ask questions. The question and answer process is a two way street in the job interview. So feel free to ask away; it shows engagement.

4. Don’t lie. If you don't know the answer to a question, don't try to flub your way through it by telling the interviewer what you think they want to hear. Just be honest in your self-assessment.
