After the Interview, Fargo Jobs Seekers, Craft a Thank You Letter

Ahh, the good old days...you've heard them talked about: when everybody knew your name, when neighbors helped each other out, back when the Norman Rockwell aesthetic was in full force. Well, one of the things about the "good old days" was old-fashioned thank-you notes. You can give yourself an advantage (as well as harkening back to an earlier era) by penning a thank you know after you interview for Fargo jobs. Here are a few pointers:

1. Keep it professional: while thank you letters tend to be more personalized than cover letters, it is always a good idea to keep them formal and professional. Thank yous written in this way are more likely to impress.

2. Send one to each person you interviewed with: if you interviewed with more than one individual, it is a good idea to send a thank you to each interviewer. If this is the case, it is best to customize each thank you, and have them address the topics that came up during your time with them.

3. Email it: you want to send your thank you letter as soon as possible (within 48 hours), so email it. Emailing thank you letters is an acceptable and common practice. Yes, Archie Bunker wouldn't have done it, but that's all right. It doesn’t even have to be an attached document. You could have your thank you in the body of the email, so long as it is concise and well written.

4. Send one even if you don’t get the job: if you get turned down, it is still a good idea to send a letter thanking them for your time. This will end your interaction with the company on a positive note, and they may remember you down the line for it.
