This position is responsible for:

1) Protection of institutional property against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry

2) Assisting staff in the supervision and accountability of juveniles

3) Provide pick-up and delivery services as they pertain the physical operation of the facility

4) Escort/transport juveniles for medical purposes

5) Perform additional security responsibilities as they apply to various living units. This position must be available to work any day/night of the week.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Requires a high school diploma/GED and two years of training or experience in law enforcement or security operations; or two years of college. Must have a valid Class D drivers license. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills to work with staff and supervise juveniles, and communication skills to express ideas clearly and concisely. Job responsibilities require walking, standing, bending and moving or lifting up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate experience/skills and abilities to meet qualifications to perform duties on the job. Must successfully complete an interview, standard background and criminal background check.
