Lead Office Furniture Installer

Description:

Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Office Furniture Installer to lead a crew and manager installation projects.
A Lead Office Furniture Installer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely installation of systems furniture and case goods without damage and in accordance with project specifications. This position manages installations of all sizes and product types, assuming responsibility to meet time and budget targets with staff provided, and perform installation duties as needed. The Lead Installer is charged with resolving issues related to installation while exhibiting a polite, helpful, positive attitude and professional image with public, clients, end users, and crew members.

Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: $23-24/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
-Assist in filling orders and preparing product for delivery
-Provide on-site supervision of employees involved in the project and monitor quality of work
-Assist with loading, delivery, placement and installation of office products
-Supervise the job site to meet or exceed all safety requirements
-Ensure product inventories and equipment are properly coordinated and accounted for to maximize site hours.
-Ability to lead a team of installers to complete projects on time and within budget
-Assist in training less experienced installers
-Interface with furniture dealer staff, general contractors and other professionals to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and the successful completion of each project
-Demonstrate competence related to writing installation and problem reports

Qualifications:
-High school education or equivalent
-1-3 years in moving/installing office furniture and 3-5 years of leading large projects
-Must have a valid state issued driver's license and good driving record
-Ability to lead an installation team of varying sizes
-Excellent communication skills
-Knowledge of word, excel, e-mail, and data base programs
-Ability to work with members at all levels in a team environment
-Read and understand floorplans, including dimensions and symbols
-Ensure product is installed efficiently without error
-Provide exceptional customer service when communicating with clients
-Work in a safe manner to eliminate injury and damage
-Demonstrate correct usage of small hand tools
-Must be able to lift occasional 40 pounds and push/pull 100+ pounds with assistance
-Flexibility to work at different job sites
-Ability to travel outside of the office, may include occasional overnight or out of state travel
