The Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Fargo is responsible for overseeing and managing the culinary operations of our hotel. This includes supervising the kitchen staff, creating and developing menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This position is responsible for a busy restaurant, a banquet and large event space and a catering company that handles feeding many high volume clients in the Fargo area.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Create and develop menus that are both innovative and appealing
• Create banquet meals including high volume caters for small or large groups
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with established standards and customer requirements
• Monitor and control food costs and inventory levels
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all brand, state and federal health and safety regulations
• Train an develop other team members
• Attend training and other department head meetings
• Work with other departments and managers to ensure our guests needs are met
• Work in partnership with the sales and catering team to evaluate all menus and offerings are based on pricing, the market, or trends

• Prior experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role
• Strong culinary and creative skills
• Excellent leadership and management abilities
• Some computer experience
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
