Purpose of role

The purpose of this role is to serve as customer support and support other departments within Precision with inventory, shipping and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers find information and diagrams on old and new equipment
  • Identify parts and models and solutions for repairing equipment with efficiency and cost as top priority
  • Assist customers with parts order inquiries and identify the parts necessary for customer needs
  • Sell obsolete and unused parts on eBay
  • Organize and manage parts inventory by making sure all parts are put away in their respective spot, communicating re-ordering needs to the purchasing department, and participating in inventory counts
  • Completing documentation within Global Shop, documenting orders in Microsoft list and other shipping software
  • Pack orders, build pallets, collect payments and provide tracking information to customers
  • Filing and organizing MSO's, safety documents, credit applications and warranty claims
  • Coordinate with Royal Transport and other freight companies after confirming payment, shipping, location and options for shipping
  • Update accounting with shipping cost and follow up with customers
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

Candidate requirements

Dealing with complexity, information others, leadership, supervision, hardware specifications, manufacturing methods and procedures, manufacturing quality, product development, presenting technical information, air brake systems, industrial heater/generators
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline driven environment
  • Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to changing work environment
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships while maintaining a customer service orientation
  • Ability to understand technical ideas and concepts and explain appropriately for varied audiences
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check

Technology & Software Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams required
  • Proficiency with Global Shop, Solidworks, and PDM Vault preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows and proficiency with PC platforms
