Job Type Full time Benefits Eligibility Benefits Eligible Schedule 9-months Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:15 pm CST Salary Range Group 2 from $18.06 to $22.48 per hour

Position Purpose: This position is one FPS uses to enforce security and monitor student behavior/responsibility during non-academic school time; assists in the supervision of students in the study halls and other open building spaces.

Responsibilities:

Be in and around the building, including parking areas as determined by the principal.

Establish a rapport with students to encourage proper behavior and acting responsibly.

Check student ID's to guarantee student status.

Maintain camera operations when needed, greet students and visitors, check student schedules when necessary, and observe locker rooms and restrooms.

Check restrooms and locker rooms for theft and vandalism.

Assist the School Resource Officer (SRO) and parking security in dealing with conflicts.

Work with students, teachers, deans, and principals on a regular basis to prevent potential problems.

Report to the office all situations which may escalate into major disturbances and be responsible for written reports.

Report to SRO on a regular basis on over-all behavior of students and to keep lines of communication open.

Provide supervision as assigned.

Enforce school policies and expectations as set forth by the Fargo School Board and principals.

Outside patrol duties including the parking lots.

Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

High level of comfort utilizing computer technology such as Zoom Meetings, Google Docs, and navigating websites.

Possess personal attributes of integrity and respect for others as well as ability to work effectively in collaborative teams and serve as a supervisor for students.

Strong content knowledge of school policies and expectations as set forth by the Fargo School Board and principals.

Must be able to walk, stand, and bend frequently.

Must be able to speak and hear to communicate with children and staff.
