POSITION: Sales Support Specialist

SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

WAGE: $21.00 - $24.00 (DOE) + Full Benefit Package

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Answer inquiries and/or obtains information for general public, customers, visitors and other interested parties regarding CSP or Tank. Provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment; location of departments, offices and employees within organization. Along with walk-in traffic, there will be heavy phone usage and support assigned Territory Sales Manager(s); requiring strong multi-tasking skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to accurately fulfill customers' requests using our Syteline ERP software system. Including entering sales orders and quotes with the appropriate information for purchasing, production, and logistics of materials to customers.
  • Handle walk in and phone inquiries/sales of culvert or tank and resale products.
  • Support assigned Territory Sales Manager for order and quote entry, and back up other representatives as needed.
  • Proactive and consistent follow-up on orders, quotes, accounts receivables, and detail/time management.
  • Regularly update sales order information to help prioritize production and delivery schedules.
  • Notify customers of completed orders to schedule pickup and/or delivery.
  • Coordinate customer deliveries with the logistics department.
  • Make proactive phone calls to existing and prospective customers to drive sales.
  • Positively interact and collaborate with all other team members of the company including Sales Support Specialist partners, Territory Managers, Sales Engineers, Director of Sales Support, production, logistics, purchasing, accounting and executive management.
  • Must be able to learn and understand all order entry processes and products.
  • Learn and retain applications and determine which product is best suited for expected results.
  • Understand all coating/gage/diameter combinations for culvert or tank accessories and configurations.
  • This position requires a high degree of task and phone management.
  • Attending seminars and classes as necessary to learn new sales skills, increase culvert or tank and related resale products knowledge.
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner when dealing with customers, vendors and TrueNorth Steel employees.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when necessary.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent phone skills are preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional internal and external customer service skills.
  • Ability to accurately record customer's requests and questions.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree in Business and/or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years in an office setting.

Level 2:
In addition to Level 1 requirements, must be able to learn and retain all CSP and Tank processes and products. Learn and understand all accessories required for specific tanks. Ability to learn CRM and conduct pipeline meetings with assigned Tank Account Manager.

Level 3:
In addition to Level 1 and Level 2 requirements, must be able to train and supervise all Level 1 and Level 2 team members. Assist in improving standard practices for order entry and pricing. Provide direction day to day and ensure adequate coverage for sales office staff at each site. Make recommendations for improving service across locations and utilizing staff across sites. Occasional travel required.
