Shift and Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day Shift

Summary:

  • Administer all aspects of the company's EHS programs, policies, and procedures across all branches.
  • Serve as backup for the EHS Manager in their absence.
  • Collaborate with management, hourly employees, prime contractors, subcontractors, and customers to maintain a culture of safety.
  • Serve as management's representative in the field to capture, develop, and share best practices for safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA regulations.
  • Develop, plan, and lead company safety meetings and new employee safety orientations.
  • Qualify drivers for company vehicles.
  • Provide classroom and hands-on training for forklifts and skid steers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of all safety programs, policies, procedures, and PPE.
  • Track and develop monthly reports on company-specific safety metrics.
  • Conduct incident investigations, including near misses, to identify and correct root causes of accidents.
  • Manage all aspects of the injury work comp processes when necessary.
  • Lead CPR, first aid, AED, and other relevant training sessions.
  • Track and report safety incident rates, including those required for various contractors or customer organizations.
  • Complete all prime contractor safety questionnaires.
  • Provide safety and risk counsel for specific bid proposals.
  • Lead and participate in safety committees.
  • Purchase safety and environmental supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate emergency safety plans and procedures, including evacuation, rescue, hazmat, fire suppression, and active shooter scenarios.
  • Develop, update, and maintain all safety documentation, including JSA's, safety manuals, and the employee handbook.
  • Travel to other branch locations monthly.
  • Perform various other functions as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of directly related EHS experience or equivalent education.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel are required.
  • Experience with construction ERP systems, including Vista is a plus.
  • Two-year degree preferred.
  • Ability to speak English and Spanish is a plus.
