Service Writer / Shop Manager **Service Writer / Shop Manager**

Position Details:

* Responsible for maintaining an efficient and quality operation of the Shop

* Oversee Shop personnel and daily operations

* Organize and prioritize workflow of Shop and Mechanics

* Schedule required service appointments

* File and process returns and warranty claims

* Ensure all equipment and tools are working properly

* Ensure cleanliness of the Shop, inside and out

* Ensure all employees are trained properly and follow procedures set forth

* Provide coaching to employees so they are aware of areas for improvement

* Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed

* Evaluate and document any return job problems and be able to remedy the problem and communicate this to upper management

* Ensure invoices are turned in daily

* Keep orderly records

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Experience repairing and maintaining trucks/trailers and heavy equipment, diagnosing abilities

* Exhibit teamwork skills

* Good organizational skills

* Have an understanding of safe job practices

* Valid driver's license

* Must maintain flexibility in schedule during the busy season
