OUR OPPORTUNITY:

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Coordinator to support our construction teams by ensuring they have everything they need to stay productive on site. This role combines material handling, equipment management, and effective communication to optimize workflows and enhance team efficiency.

Job Summary: The Shop Coordinator will safely load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites while maintaining an organized inventory. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, strong organizational skills, and the ability to move equipment and trailers as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Delivery: Transport tools, materials, and equipment to construction sites as requested by crew leaders to maintain workflow.
  • Equipment Management: Move, load, and unload construction equipment and trailers, ensuring all items are in good working order.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage the inventory of tools and supplies in the shop, ensuring necessary items are stocked and readily available for crews.
  • Site Support: Assist construction teams on-site as needed, providing additional support to enhance productivity.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with crew leaders and project managers to prioritize deliveries and address any urgent needs.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while operating equipment and delivering materials.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Organization: Assist with organizing materials at the warehouse and job sites for optimal workflow.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including both the warehouse and job sites.
Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate to have a thorough understanding of construction tools and materials.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • Forklift and MEWP certification a plus.
  • Ability to operate construction equipment and trailers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Working Conditions: This position involves working in various environments, including warehouse settings and outdoor job sites, with potential exposure to weather conditions and construction-related hazards.
