Job Summary:
As the Housekeeping Supervisor at the Holiday Inn Fargo, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within the hotel rooms and public areas. You may be required to clean or inspect guest rooms on a regular basis. This position will report to the Executive Housekeeper and will involve managing a team of housekeeping staff, laundry staff and evening janitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality cleaning and guest service
  • Assign and prioritize daily cleaning tasks for all guest rooms and public areas
  • Perform periodic inspections of hotel rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and identify any maintenance issues
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies for the housekeeping department
  • Coordinate with other department managers to ensure smooth handling of guest requests and complaints
  • Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping operations and budget needs
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to the team
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of new housekeeping staff as needed


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of previous housekeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of hotel management software
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Must pass a background check
