About the Role:

We are looking for an onsite Application Specialist to be based in Fargo, ND and support one of our clients. This role is 40 hours per week with 70% of the weeks schedule being M-Th 6:30am – 4:30am. Some weeks (would be known 2 weeks in advance) might consist of less hours M-Th and then some time on Friday morning. This full-time position will be integral part of our short- and long-term success with our client and allow for a variety of manufacturing engagements. You will be responsible for building trusting relationships both internally with our client and our local team.


Responsibilities:

  • Support client's equipment installations and ongoing troubleshooting of the assembly torque tools and related equipment.
  • Customer relations excellence through assisting and resolving customer's technical requests / issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with client personnel and colleagues.
  • Programming equipment with various software suites.
  • Be the “first line” contact for initial equipment commissioning and ongoing support.
  • Participate in bi-weekly design meetings to discuss status of customer projects and pipeline.
  • Building relationships with our vendor partners.
  • Collaborating with colleagues.


Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalate factory experience
  • Familiar with lockout/tag out procedures and heavy industrial plant safety protocols
  • Knowledge in PLC, intelligent sockets, 2d vision systems, DC power tool repair and diagnostics
  • Ability to analyze and develop KPI reports using Excel and Power Point, and other commercial software.


Proficiency In:

  • Communication networks – Ethernet TCP/IP, RS 232
  • Field Bus – Ethernet IP, Device-Net, Profibus
  • Fastening / Torque Theory
  • Industrial DC power tool programming experience
  • Familiar with torque reaction and versed in units of measurement (Nm/Ftlbs)
  • Knowledge of power tool calibration process


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Engineering degree
  • Prior industrial / manufacturing factory experience
  • Knowledge in hoists, bridge crane systems, torque arms, and lift assists
