Financial Reporting Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Financial Reporting Analyst. Financial Analysts are key members of the Accounting Services Team. These individuals will deliver a best-in-class service by engaging and supporting our Business Partners within Finance and striving to increase Business Partner satisfaction through accurate and timely execution of all assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Broadly, a Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the following:

  • Financial Reporting
    • Focusing on process improvement, automation, and standardization
    • Research and analyze monthly reports for variations
    • Compare financial data across multiple data sources for accuracy
    • Perform QA testing on projects in development and communicate findings using the Azure DevOps platform
    • Assist with budget and forecast planning for upcoming fiscal years by verifying data in the analysis files is updated with new fiscal year information and testing that all files work as intended
  • Meetings with Business Partners as needed
  • Assist Business Partners via email communication
  • Meet quality metrics and deadlines
  • Adhere to Client Accounting Policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Participate in audits as appropriate
Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated reporting and business intelligence-related work experience preferred but not required
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivots/modeling, formulas, and knowledge of Power Query
    • Working knowledge of Power BI
    • Experience working in a large corporate environment with a dynamic atmosphere
    • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to various systems and tools
    • Ability to operate within and meet or exceed tight deadlines while being flexible with duties and scope of work
    • Thorough attention to detail
    • Ability to think strategically and manage execution
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Passion for excellence
    • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

Compensation: $42,000-45,000
