Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and perform all duties in accordance with prescribed financial advising policies and procedures; banking, insurance and securities standards; and compliance with regulations from OCC, FDIC, FINRA and SEC.
• Effectively sell investment products by establishing relationships with customers, assessing their needs, and offering appropriate solutions to achieve customer's financial goals.
• Provide comprehensive retirement planning, insurance planning, education funding, and estate planning strategies.
• Utilize the Bank retail environment and other departments to facilitate new business opportunities.
• Proactively solicits business from prospects with no current relationship with the Bank.
• Develop and nurture productive relationships with Bank team members in an effort to identify quality referrals to and from Financial Advising Program.
• Recommend investment, asset management, insurance, employee benefit and banking solutions to aid clients in meeting their needs.
• Achieve and exceed established sales, revenue, client retention, new relationship and other goals.
• Track activities, referrals, client contacts and results as requested by management and for providing information on sales practices and initiatives.
• Maintain all licenses and registrations in good standing.
• Complete all necessary continuing education requirements.
• Process transactions in a professional and timely manner including buying and selling securities for clients.
• Use every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customer about additional services or programs that may benefit them.

Other:

• Provide a "Wow" customer service experience for team members and customers.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and vendors.
• Prompt and reliable attendance is essential in order to provide expected levels of service.
• Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be detailed-oriented and maintain high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Associate degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required. Securities and Insurance licensing are required and two or more years of previous financial services and/or related experience preferred.

The following licenses are required:

• Active Series 7, Series 66 and state Life/Annuity Insurance license or ability to obtain within 180 days
