Starting Annual Salary: $61,600 annually; will increase depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and have a strong background in project accounting and asset management. Additionally, the Senior Project Accountant must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role requires frequent interaction with cross-functional teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication of financial information and project status.

What Youll Do:

  • Partner with project managers to track and manage capital projects, from invoice coding to asset capitalization.
  • Maintain Construction in Progress (CIP) schedules and ensure accurate general ledger tracking.
  • Lead the charge on vendor documentation, change orders, project billing, and percent-complete tracking.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting, budgeting, and capital planning.
  • Help set the tone for operational excellence and team mentorship within the Accounting & Finance team.

What You Bring:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years in project or construction accounting.
  • Experience with CIP, capital asset management, and internal capitalization policies.
  • Detail-obsessed with strong time management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Yardi and Power BI.
  • GAAP knowledge and SEC reporting experience.
  • Project billing, budget management, and vendor coordination experience.
