What You'll Do

The Market Leader is an experienced professional in the electric utility industry, focusing on strategic growth within the power market, including T&D engineering, substations, generator interconnections, power system studies, NERC compliance, and grid modernization engineering. This role involves delivering strong sales results, building collaborative relationships, and ensuring client needs are integrated into planning and development processes.

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to achieve sales and satisfaction goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams at all levels.
  • Represent Ulteig at industry events, enhance reputation, and build relationships with clients.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within the power market.
  • Drive project development, launch, and initial implementation.
  • Lead territory and account management for technical and field services teams.
  • Contribute to business and revenue strategies.
  • Partner with marketing to incorporate market research into planning and ensure effective communication of value propositions.
  • Work with proposal teams on business proposals, interviews, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on resource allocation.
  • Maintain integrity of client and opportunity data.
  • Lead internal and external client meetings.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time.

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering; PE certification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Technical Sales or Consulting Engineering.
  • Experience in power industry engineering design, consulting, construction, or project management.
  • Understanding of electrical power markets and public policy impacting utilities.
  • Proven ability to secure new clients and develop market expansion strategies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM software like D365 CRM or Salesforce, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

Additional Details

Target base salary: $130,400 - $176,500, depending on skills, experience, and location.

This position will be posted for at least 3 days and up to 60 days until filled.
