Positive Support Services Specialist

Positive Support Services promotes community participation, person-centeredness and inclusion. We serve people with disabilities who have been approved for waivered services in home- and community-based settings. Services will provide positive support strategies to promote and increase skills and self-determination for those striving to improve their quality of life.

This position will provide direct support to client, staff, and/or family with positive support services, which consists of implementing the behavioral plans, collecting and recording behavioral data.

Must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Associate degree in a social services discipline or nursing
    OR
  • Two years of supervised experience working with people who exhibit challenging behavior as well as co-occurring mental disorders and neurocognitive disorders.
Must have the ability to complete required hours of training and demonstrate competencies related to and within the first ninety (90) days of hire.

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, car insurance, and must meet insurability standards. Must be able to meet all employment requirements, defined by CCRI's policy and procedure manual.

What are the hours?
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (must be flexible to accommodate early or later appointments for clients, will be based on need)
