IT Business Manager

Description:

Responsible for oversight of the IT software and hardware budget along with performing various IT asset administration duties related to the organization's hardware, software, and service contracts. Administer systems for tracking IT asset life cycles, managing inventory and maintaining information on software licenses and service level agreements. Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and standards and track quality throughout product/contract lifetimes.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring that expenses are within budget and providing regular financial reporting to senior management
  • Manage the procurement and tracking of IT hardware and software
  • Ensure compliance with software license agreements and maintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses
  • Prepare Service Line Intercompany billings and quarterly true up calculations
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and CADR's to get proper Approval for IT software and hardware expenses
  • Assist with review and execution of master service agreements, software license agreements and statements of work
  • Coordinate intra-department IT projects, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Conduct regular assessments of IT operations and make recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field, and evaluate new tools and techniques for potential implementation

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in IT Operations Management including hardware and software procurement, software license management, and project coordination

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal customers and external vendors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and analytically to resolve complex issues
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management (ITSM) frameworks preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools
