ABOUT THE POSITION & SCOPE
The Senior Portfolio Manager will lead the development of investment strategies, manage complex client portfolios, and serve as a key member of the Investment Committee. This role combines direct client engagement, research and due diligence, and execution of multi-asset class investments to deliver tailored, tax-efficient wealth solutions. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also mentor team members and collaborate with advisors and planning professionals to uphold excellence in portfolio management and client service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS
The Key Accountabilities for the position include but are not limited to the following:
Investment Strategy
- Assist with the development and ongoing refinement of the firm's investment strategy to align with client objectives and market conditions.
- Oversee the creation of strategic asset allocations and select investment securities and managed products to construct portfolios and serve on the Trust and Investment Committee.
Client Engagement
- Provide investment subject matter expertise in client meetings, delivering insights and education on portfolio strategies.
- Collaborate with tax advisors, and financial planners to deliver integrated, holistic wealth management solutions.
- Proactively engage with clients by delivering timely, tailored communication that anticipates their needs. Ensure messaging is clear, accessible, and aligned with each client's preferred communication style.
Portfolio Management
- Construct client portfolios from selected securities and managed funds.
- Manage and optimize client portfolios, including complex and high-net-worth accounts.
- Execute trades across equities, bonds, ETFs, and alternatives while ensuring tax efficiency and operational excellence in portfolio rebalancing and trading workflows.
Research and Due Diligence
- Research investment opportunities including individual stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs and alternatives. Select securities for client portfolios.
- Follow financial market and economic trends and form opinions on how they inform portfolio management strategy.
- Evaluate and select external investment managers, perform ongoing due diligence, and monitor performance against benchmarks.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Develop and oversee investment performance reporting, risk management and compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain investment process documentation, and align portfolios with client risk and tax profiles.
Team Leadership and Collaboration (Influence vs. Authority-based)
- Mentor and guide advisors in economic, market and investment trends such that they can share insights confidently with clients.
- Foster cross-team collaboration and uphold high standards for communication with team members and clients.

- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in finance, economics or business.
- CFA designation (or candidate beyond level I and commitment to complete program)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS - Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
