Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 15 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience License: Active RN License (ND or Compact State) Certifications: BLS - must be AHA Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year recent Medical Surgical experience - Experience with surgical oncology patients preferred, but not required - EPIC experience - Experience working in a larger hospital (200 beds minimum), level 2 or higher trauma center Description: Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge. Utilizes appropriate age and population-specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting. The unit operates a 47 bed department with a nurse to patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift. General job duties include managing medical-surgical patients and surgical oncology patients. Floating to other units and departments may be required.
