Job Title: Director of Business Operations

Summary

The Director of Business Operations oversees the coordination and execution of field operations related to the erection of precast concrete panels. This role focuses on ensuring efficient project delivery, site safety, and operational effectiveness. The Director provides leadership to field teams, supports project execution, and implements improvements to enhance workflow and performance.

Essential Functions

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise daily field operations, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure alignment of field activities with company goals and project specifications.
  • Support foreman and project managers to ensure job execution and crew coordination.
Project Execution
  • Assist in planning and managing erection schedules and ensure quality and safety benchmarks are met.
  • Help standardize procedures for crane use, panel delivery, and erection methods.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to field processes.
Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor field KPIs such as productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Assist in addressing job site issues and implementing performance improvements.
Equipment and Resource Management
  • Coordinate field equipment and crew needs across active projects.
  • Support mobilization planning and effective use of resources.
Safety and Compliance
  • Promote a culture of safety and help enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Participate in jobsite inspections and safety audits.
Client Coordination
  • Communicate project status and concerns to clients and contractors as needed.
  • Support issue resolution to maintain project schedules and satisfaction.
Budget and Cost Support
  • Assist in tracking field operational costs and supporting budgeting efforts.
  • Identify areas for operational cost savings.
Team Development
  • Train and support site supervisors and field personnel.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Education Requirements

Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Experience Requirements
  • 5+ years in field operations or construction management, preferably in precast concrete or structural industries.
  • Experience supervising field crews and managing job site operations.
  • Knowledge of precast panel erection, safety protocols, and project planning.
  • Proficiency with construction tools and scheduling software.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
