We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced licensed Plumber to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our construction team, responsible for the design, layout, installation, and repair of pipe systems in commercial and industrial settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about their craft and looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
The Plumber will have a wide range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
1. Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand the specific requirements of each project.
2. Designing and installing pipe systems, supports, and related equipment according to specifications and applicable codes.
3. Cutting, threading, and hammering pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, and pipe benders.
4. Inspecting workplaces to determine the presence of any hazards or malfunctions in the pipe systems.
5. Assembling and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings; including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
6. Collaborating with design and engineering teams to determine ideal pipe system layouts for new construction projects.
7. Performing troubleshooting and repairs on existing pipe systems and related equipment.
8. Ensuring all installations and repairs are compliant with building codes and safety regulations.
9. Training junior team members and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the role of the Plumber, the candidate must possess the following:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent. A license in plumbing is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Plumber in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience with plumbing, and mechanical systems.
4. A valid plumbing license and a clean driving record.
5. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
