The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking help to review Child Care Assistance (CCA) case files as required under the Improper Payments Information Act (IPIA). These reviews ensure that subsidy eligibility determinations and payments were correctly made.

Key Details:

Total Files: 276 case files to be reviewed over 1 year (Oct 2025-Sept 2026).

Review Start: January 2026 (after federal form approval & reviewer training).

Deadline: All files must be reviewed by Jan 31, 2027.

Monthly Goal: Review 23 cases/month, but alternatives may be considered.

Additional Work: Participate in monthly meetings, federal calls, and conduct re-reviews of 2 cases/month for quality control.
