Provides emergency medical services, under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Department Physician and management for providing high quality patient care according to established standards of performance, the philosophy and objectives of Avera and the Careflight Program. What you will do. Collects patient health data from patients, referring healthcare providers and patient charts. Analyzes the collected data to assist in determining diagnoses and area of problem focus. Identifies expected outcomes and goals individualized to the patient, and develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes during transport. Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care. Evaluates the patient's progress toward attainment of the outcomes, calls medical director for orders or utilizes protocols in place. Evaluates own practice in relation to professional practice standards and relevant statutes and regulations.
