The Human Resource Partner (“HRP”) plays a critical role in aligning Western's people practices with organizational goals and values. Serving as a trusted partner to leadership, the HRP provides both strategic insight and day-to-day administrative support in key areas such as talent management, recruitment, benefits education, leave administration, and team member relations. Specifically, the HRP supports team members in interpreting and applying policies and procedures, addressing general team member concerns and providing support and guidance to team members. The HRP will also be responsible for maintaining records and files of team member actions ensuring that the Western's human resource practices conform to all applicable regulatory requirements. While compliance is fundamental, this role goes beyond —it is about building a positive, consistent team member experience across the organization. The HRP helps leaders navigate HR policies and practices, addresses concerns with fairness and care, and ensures managers are equipped to build strong, high-performing teams. By maintaining accurate records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coaching leaders, the HRP safeguards the bank's people systems while helping create an environment where employees are engaged, innovative, and empowered to succeed. As part of Western's high-performance HR team, the HRP directly influences the culture and future of the bank, fostering collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement consistent with our vision and values.
The HR Partner performs the following functions consistent with the organization's human capital strategy:
Experience and Education: Requires a bachelor's degree with a major in human resource management, business administration, management, or closely related field, and two years of HR work experience. Previous HRIS experience with strong analytical capability is a plus.
This is a full-time in-office position with benefits and will be located in West Fargo, ND.
