Overview

The Senior Programmer, in development of operating systems, is responsible for analyzing systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks and costs; evaluating, selecting, verifying and validating the systems software environment; evaluating, selecting and installing compilers, assemblers and utilities; integrating hardware and software components within the systems environment; monitoring and fine-tuning performance of the systems environment.

Responsibilities

• Code, test and debug complex web/mobile applications to create new business applications and interfaces or maintain/modify existing business applications utilizing .NET Core components (including ASP.NET, VB.NET, and other integrations), C#, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XML, and MVC.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex application problems.
• Create and manage stored procedures, functions, and queries to extract necessary data elements.
• Develop and document proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft T-SQL; clearly document code functionality.
• Develop web services to integrate with multiple internal and external systems.
• Perform database management, including CRUD operations and efficient data loading into database tables.
• Design and document object-oriented programming structures, including business class layers (C#, Java).
• Generate reports using Report Builder and Power BI Desktop.
• Troubleshoot and test newly developed programs to ensure UI functionality aligns with system design and programming standards.
• Design table structures, constraints, triggers, and sequences to support data integrity and application validations.
• Create batch jobs (console applications) to automate daily tasks across different databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AZURE and AWS.
• Demonstrated experience developing interactive web applications using Blazor.NET or comparable modern web frameworks, with strong proficiency in C# and HTML.
• Have an understanding of Agile Development principles and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft T-SQL with ability to clearly document code functionality.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Java).
• Experience with web services integration and data-driven application development.
• Experience generating and presenting data insights via reporting tools.
