Financial Services Officer

Town & Country Credit Union is seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Financial Services Officer to join our Member Services team. In this role, you'll work directly with members to guide them through the consumer loan process, open accounts, and identify the best financial solutions to fit their needs.

What You'll Do:
- Originate and process a variety of consumer loan applications, including auto loans, personal loans, and lines of credit
- Manage a personal loan portfolio of $3-$8 million or more, ensuring strong performance and member satisfaction
- Provide one-on-one financial guidance, helping members understand loan options, documentation requirements, and credit decisions
- Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services that support members' financial well-being
- Open new member and business accounts independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with credit union policies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending regulations, credit union policies, and consumer protection laws
- Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory and internal standards
- Collaborate with underwriting and other departments to ensure smooth loan processing and resolution of complex applications
- Proactively reach out to members through outbound calling and other channels to identify new loan and product opportunities
- Contribute to team goals for loan growth, deposit growth, and product penetration
- Provide support for marketing promotions and suggest new product or service ideas
- Handle member inquiries with professionalism and tact, resolving issues and maintaining positive relationships
What We're Looking For:
- A four-year degree or equivalent experience in consumer lending or financial services preferred
- 1-3 years of direct experience in loan origination or financial services
- Strong knowledge of lending practices, credit analysis, and account opening procedures
- Ability to manage multiple loan requests while providing excellent member service
- High integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with loan origination or financial systems
