A well-established structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical design efforts, manage project delivery, and contribute to a collaborative and client-focused environment. Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and Technical Leadership: Develop and deliver structural designs that meet applicable codes and standards; Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges; Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including calculations and specifications; Conduct field investigations and interpret data to inform design decisions; Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Project Management: Coordinate project schedules and deliverables in collaboration with senior staff; Support project planning, execution, and milestone tracking; Maintain accurate project records and documentation; Assist in the preparation of proposals and funding applications.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle; Understand client objectives and ensure alignment with project outcomes; Participate in project meetings and provide clear, concise updates.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technical staff; Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Documentation and Administrative Support: Ensure proper organization and retention of project communications and documentation; Accurately record time, progress, and completion metrics in project management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in structural engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct field inspections and site visits
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
