Summary

The Patching Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Wysan Precast patching crews on commercial and industrial projects. This position will work closely with all other personnel on site to ensure safety, quality, delivery and productivity of each crew.

Essential Functions

  • The Patching Foreman will be responsible for the inspection of damaged concrete areas, for determining appropriate patching methods, and for ensuring that repairs meet structural and aesthetic standards.
  • This position will lead to directing crews in the following tasks: surface preparation, forming, mixing, placement, finishing, and curing of patch materials.
  • The Patching Foreman will be responsible for verifying the proper use of materials for repairs such as cementitious, epoxy, polymer-modified, grout, etc. with manufacturer specifications.
  • Throughout the patching process, this position will monitor quality control of patching work, ensuring smoothness, durability, and proper bonding with existing structures.
  • This role will coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors to schedule and complete patching work efficiently.
  • Work with Human Resources to manage open positions.
    • Assist with determining open positions and department numbers based on needs
    • Assist with interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all chipping, grinding, cutting, and patching operations.
  • This role will lead the training and mentoring processes for all new hires as well as existing employees. This position will take the lead in ensuring training in patching techniques, finishing skills, and proper use of equipment.
  • The Patching Foreman will maintain daily reports including quantities of materials used, completed repairs, and crew performance as well as any other information or data that needs to be reported and documented.
  • This position will troubleshoot field issues such as inadequate bonding, cracking, or finish problems, and implement corrective measures.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required: High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Patching experience required.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Physically able to bend, lift, stoop, and climb.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Climb, reach, utlize hand tools and other equipment as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be willing and able to travel, work overtime, and work weekends as needed.
