LOCATION: This position can be located in either the Fargo/Moorhead/West Fargo or the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan areas.

Summary of Work

While every day will be different, you will work as part of a team to examine the State's largest and most complex state-chartered banks. You will be the State Examiner-In-Charge (EIC) for a bank in the continuous examination program. This includes participating in and reviewing ongoing monitoring, target reviews that include assessing the bank's operations, risk management practices, inherent risk levels, and overall financial health. The work would be under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

To thrive in this position, you must enjoy analyzing numbers and solving problems; ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations; and have proficiency in presenting concise, comprehensive, and accurate information through both written and oral means. The amount of travel will depend on the area being reviewed.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

•Bachelor's degree in accounting, banking, business administration, finance, economics, or other closely related fields.
•Coursework in Elements of Accounting I and II.
•Prior bank examination experience is required. This experience must include five plus years of regulatory experience with three years working as examiner-in-charge.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

•Have Large Bank Examination Experience.
