Health & Safety Coordinator

AI JOBS is hiring for one of the global players in the construction and materials industry.

About the Role

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you'll play a key role in driving a culture of safety and risk prevention across all operations. You will support and guide site leadership in implementing robust health and safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and promoting continuous improvement toward zero accidents and occupational illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide H&S guidance and support to site management, ensuring effective implementation of corporate safety strategies.
• Assist leadership in identifying, prioritizing, and executing actions that mitigate risk and enhance safety performance.
• Support development of specialized safety knowledge and behavioral change initiatives within the organization.
• Conduct and support safety audits, incident investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
• Define and monitor safety dashboards and KPIs to track progress and performance.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support during inspections and investigations, including interpretation of safety regulations.
• Promote a strong culture of safety awareness and ensure consistent communication of safety expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant H&S experience.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety required.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations. DOT experience preferred.
• Experience with Management Systems (ISO 9000 / ISO 14000 / OHSAS 18000) and continuous improvement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
