Job Summary

The Material Planning Analyst position creates and ensures execution to planned orders and schedules and resolves issues with operations to ensure material availability for facility production. The incumbent works with operations personnel to support facility production and just-in-time material availability. The incumbent ensures timely delivery of materials to the facility, coordinating deliveries, shipping schedules and work schedules to meet facility production plans. Using customer collaboration technologies, collaborates with customers and operations to plan delivery of material for customer requirements.

What You Will Do
  • Participates in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
  • Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.
  • Organizes the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.
  • Generates forecasts and manages replenishment planning for parts and materials to ensure specified service levels are met.
Skills You Will Have
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Working knowledge of the process and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses
  • Internal Resource Coordination: Basic understanding of coordinating internal resources to ensure efficient use of resources toward business objectives
  • Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Basic understanding of processes and systems used in MRP; ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability
  • Materials Handling and Management: Basic understanding of material handling and management in plants
  • Planning and Organizing: Ability to plan and organize time and resources in a systematic way
  • Problem Solving: Ability to apply problem-solving approaches to diverse situations
  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
Top Candidates Will Have
  • Professional experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within a logistics or supply chain related role
  • SAP
  • Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Data analytics, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Knowledge of MRC, MRP systems and ability to use and troubleshoot MRP, Lognet, and MTS systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills
  • Prior experience with production scheduling and capacity management
  • Knowledge and/or experience in material control, inventory control, operations and transportation or logistics
  • Intermediate level of proficiency reading blueprints
  • APICS CPIM or CSPC certification is a plus

Summary Pay Range: $79,800.00 - $119,760.00
