Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder to perform MIG welding on agricultural and transportation products. The role involves working with blueprints, setting up welding machines, and using jigs, fixtures, and clamps to lay out products.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on a variety of agricultural and transportation products.
  • Assist with TIG welding as needed, with training provided if necessary.
  • Work from blueprints to accurately lay out products using jigs, fixtures, and clamps.
  • Set up and adjust welding machines based on metal types and thicknesses.
  • Execute welds primarily on 1/2" steel or smaller gauges, with a focus on quality and precision.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in MIG welding.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding drawings.
  • Ability to set up and adjust welding machines independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with TIG welding is a plus, though training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

Work Environment:

The shop has recently expanded and accommodates about 40 people across both shifts. Day shifts run from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and night shifts from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am, Monday through Thursday, with Friday reserved for overtime. New hires will train on day shifts for 3-6 weeks, after which they will receive a pay differential of $2/hr for night shifts.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
