Quality Inspector

Spherion Staffing is interviewing qualified candidates for a Quality Inspector role. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards before they are shipped out or released for use. Their job involves inspecting materials, processes, and finished products to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry regulations. We are looking for candidates with at least one year of experience and can use micrometers and calipers. Pay $18-20/hour DOE.

Responsibilities:

• Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
• Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects
• Read and follow work instructions and general processes
• Use measuring or testing equipment as needed
• Ensure products meet quality standards
• Bring parts into compliance by de-burring, de-rusting, grinding, etc.
• Utilize gages and other measurement tools
• Display excellent customer service
• Collect and record data

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent recommended, or comparable work experience
• A minimum of one year of work experience in a quality role is preferred
• Must be able to speak and read in English language
• Must have good communications skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Need to be a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material
• Ability to lift/move 35 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to read blueprints a plus
• Background and drug screen required
• Clean driving record and proof of insurance required
• Need to be able to use micrometers and calipers
