Job Summary:

Store Team Members at Pet Supplies Plus are friendly, outgoing, and passionate about pets. They provide exceptional customer service, assist with merchandising and stocking, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. Team Members are cross-trained in multiple areas including cashiering, stocking, and pet care.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on pet products and services.
• Handle customer transactions at the register accurately and efficiently.

• Stock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and organized.
• Assist in receiving and processing shipments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning up pet messes.

• Care for live animals in the store (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals).
• Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management.
• Educate customers on proper pet care and product usage.

• Work cooperatively with team members and management.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Support store promotions and events.

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
• Passion for animals and willingness to learn about pet care.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
