Position Summary:

The Graphic Production Specialist creates engaging and impactful design solutions from conception to execution to production. Work collaboratively with marketing team to increase understanding and support of hospice care and our mission.

This is a full-time, exempt, benefit eligible position located in our Fargo office location.

Essential Functions:

  • Design marketing materials for agency publications and event promotions. Create and work within branded templates, that include HIA Health approved fonts, colors and styles.
  • Determine the needs of the piece, the message the design should portray, and the appeal to the stakeholders.
  • Operate the agency's in-house "print shop." Including printing, cutting, printer maintenance (calibration and toner replacement, etc.) and other production tasks as needed.
  • Select colors, artwork, photography, type style, and other visual elements for the design within time and budget constraints. Purchase appropriate stock photography as needed and within budget
  • Work with stakeholders and adjust designs to fit their needs or preference
  • Deliver final designs by the set deadline
  • Multitask; manage multiple designs at one time according to the project deadlines.
  • Create prints, photographs and video solutions to deliver consistent message.
  • Develop and maintain the HIA Health Brand
  • Ensure all materials distributed to the public have the consistent look and feel of the HIA Health brand according to our brand guidelines.
  • Identify and redesign material that is not reflective of the HIA Health brand.
  • Provide the creative direction, look and layout of HIA Health website and social media sites. Continually create new graphics to keep sites fresh and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager and team to identify website design needs.
  • Create mockups and supporting graphics to ensure consistent branding on HIA Health website.
  • Edit photographs to enhance HIA Health website and various marketing materials. Lead the effort to catalog and inventory our existing photos. Collaborate with team to identify photo needs and produce photoshoots
  • Work with vendors to procure competitive pricing, solicit bids from print and promotional materials vendors, collaborate with vendor representatives to Identify cost effective and innovative solutions.
  • Keep inventory of paper stocks and promotional items. Place orders when necessary and within budget.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Conceptualizes video projects to best tell the hospice story; shoot footage and edit raw footage into professional, high-quality videos; Inputs music, dialogues, graphics and effects; ensures logical sequencing and smooth running; assists with troubleshooting post issues, including audio mix, color, software problems.
  • Sets up and maintains photography equipment; chooses appropriate locations; takes high quality photos; edits and retouches images.
  • Follows company policies to ensure consistent and compliant job performance.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Education,CertificatesandExperience:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, marketing or related field
  • Experience in graphic design, advertising, marketing or related field;
  • Artistic skills, time management and organization skills
  • Proficiency using Creative Cloud or CS6: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
