Job Title: Paint Prep / General Laborer Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paint Prep / General Laborer. This role is essential to our industrial painting operations and involves preparing trucksand attachments for paint application. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sanding trucks, attachments, and components to ensure proper surface preparation for painting.

• Taping and masking parts to protect areas from overspray.

• Cleaning and degreasing surfaces prior to paint application.

• Assisting painters with setup and cleanup of painting areas.

• Moving and positioning equipment and parts as needed.

• Performing general labor tasks such as sweeping, organizing, and maintaining a clean work environment.

• Inspecting prepped surfaces for quality and completeness.

• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

Essential Skills

• Experience in industrial painting or surface prep is preferred but not required.

• Ability to use hand tools, sanders, and other prep equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Willingness to work in a physically demanding and sometimes dusty environment.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with painting, industrial processes, general labor, production, assembly, paint preparation, industrial painting, spray guns, sanding, industrial paint, sandblasting, blasting, and powder coating.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
