Mazda & Kia of Fargo is looking for a qualified Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence through effectively diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning and any other repair that may come up.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
• Replace worn or damaged vehicle parts, including brakes, bearings and sensors.
• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance before and after repairs.
• Complete repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about service and time completion info.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
