General Laborer Construction Support (Travel Required)

This role supports a 12-month mission-critical construction project in Ellendale, ND. The primary task is cutting concrete and assisting foremen and equipment operators with daily operations. Work is performed 90% indoors and 10% outdoors, with exposure to the elements when outside. Candidates with experience in foundation/flatwork concrete, underground construction, framing, skilled trades, or general construction labor are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with concrete cutting and related tasks
  • Support foremen and operators with daily jobsite activities
  • Perform general labor duties including material handling and cleanup
  • Operate basic tools and equipment as directed
  • Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Travel with the crew during the workweek

Preferred background experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:

  • Concrete or flatwork
  • Skid steer operation
  • Carpentry
  • Landscaping, lawn care, or other outdoor labor
  • General construction or trade apprenticeship

Travel and compensation details include:

  • Drive time is paid
  • Hotel stay covered (Aberdeen, SD)
  • $50/day per diem for each day worked
  • Ideal for candidates who can travel out of town MondayFriday

Requirements include:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to work long days during peak season
  • Ability to work outdoors when needed
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Work schedule:

  • MondayFriday
  • Meet at the shop between 6:307:00 AM
  • Typical end time 5:005:30 PM
  • Extended hours during summer peak season
  • Year-round employment (winter hours may be part-time, but crews are not laid off)

Job type and location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
