S&L Hospitality, along with the leadership team at this location, is currently accepting resumes for a Houseperson/Public Area Cleaner. Ideal candidates will have previous cleaning experience, preferably in a hospitality or relevant role, strong attention to detail, high cleanliness expectations, the ability to work independently, and is a self-starter. Schedules will typically range between the hours of 7am and 10pm however, further details can be shared about the schedule and availability if selected for an interview. Flexibility to work as business demands including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Job Summary: Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel's public areas, guest hallways (corridor), service areas and linen closets.
Duties:
Responsible for cleaning the guest hallways (corridors), guest public areas, service areas and linen closets.
Empty room attendant's trash and linen bags.
Deposits linen in linen chute, if available, otherwise will deliver to the laundry room via the service elevator.
Removes and delivers trash to the dumpster.
Vacuums all guest hallways (corridors) and/or guest rooms, as needed.
Delivers rollaway and/or cribs to guest rooms, as needed.
Assist with turning (rotating) mattresses as required by the Housekeeping Manager.
Stocks supplies needed in all linen closets
Vacuums all public areas
Sweeps and mops or vacuums service landing areas.
Sweeps and mops all vending machine areas and keeps machines clean.
Checks and cleans all public restrooms several times daily.
Checks each floor to make sure that all fire doors are open and properly secured to magnet
Checks elevators for cleanliness several times daily
Assists with luggage handling if so requested by the Guest Services Manager, AGM or GM.
Cleans rooms when needed or if housekeeping is short staffed.
Checks lights and changes light bulbs, as needed.
Patrols and maintains outside entrance door area and grounds daily
Assists with unloading of deliveries and proper storage, as needed.
Become familiar and knowledgeable with hotel's safety policies and emergency procedures to include emergency evacuation procedures. Become familiar with accident prevention policies to include any OSHA related chemical handling (SDS sheets).
Any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.

Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather
