Job Duties:
Drive and operate pickup trucks and tile delivery trucks. Make tile connections by installing various fittings such as tees. Be able to use power tools and shovel to assist with installation of tile connections, intakes and outlets. Dig and backfill starter holes or trenches with equipment such as Backhoe, Excavator and Dozer. Using laser and GPS equipment to perform survey/install of tile to grade. Deliver rolls of tile to self-propelled tile instillation machines and splice tubes together. Perform a variety of duties such as washing, lubricating, service and assist with maintenance of machinery. Drive transport trucks to haul heavy equipment and all materials necessary. Must be able to drive transport trucks to move tile and equipment from job to job. Manual work including, but not limited to mowing, cleaning and picking up tree limbs and other miscellaneous items.
No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a class D driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Full Time
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
