Shipping Coordinator

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all outbound shipments to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and customer requirements. This role serves as the link between production, warehouse, and carriers, ensuring smooth logistics operations and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipments: Schedule and organize outbound deliveries with carriers, freight companies, and internal teams.
  • Prepare documentation: Generate and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Ensure accuracy: Verify orders, quantities, and packaging to ensure shipments meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Track shipments: Monitor delivery status, resolve delays, and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Carrier relations: Work with carriers to negotiate rates, schedule pickups, and resolve service issues.
  • Inventory support: Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for shipping and logistics.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping systems, carriers, and freight processes is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and shipping software or ability to learn.
