Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician III Location: 4101 19th Avenue North, Fargo, ND Duration: 2+ Years (Possibility of extension)

Essential Job Functions:
Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues pertaining to assembly tools, equipment, processes, and products during manufacturing.

Support the installation, setup, wiring, programming, documentation, training, and maintenance of assembly and automation equipment (including but not limited to assembly build fixtures, torque tools, conveyor lines, PLCs, robots, etc.)
Create/update MWI's and JDAAT programs, including labelling and final packaging.
Possess an understanding of programmable logic controllers, networks, sensors/scanners/cameras, and configuring I/O devices for tying automated systems together.
Directly support Manufacturing and Factory Automation Engineers, and other departments as requested, including coordination of prototype jobs and resources.
ssist in the design, fabrication, and verification of production and prototype fixtures, jigs, and simple machines. Train operators on the use of fixtures, jigs, and simple machines.
ct as the Engineering representative on the Final Assembly Continuous Improvement Teams driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity through proven Lean Manufacturing principles.
Review and assist with all assembly line layout activities, including but not limited to: identifying waste, recommending improvements, implementing improvements and all physical equipment and bench moves.
ssist with the development of labor standards, perform time studies and line balancing activities.
ssist with development of final assembly processes, coordinate with different departments, and be actively involved during the early assembly processes at all locations.
Create PO Req's to order tools and supplies.
Utilize Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint to effectively communicate information to stakeholders.
Research assembly techniques, equipment, systems, and/or products.
Support all efforts in maintaining ISO 9001 certifications.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and Factory Automation/Manufacturing Engineers.
Required Education:
.S. in Mechatronics, Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering is required; 7 or more years of related experience is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments,
vendors, and customers. If issue is cross-departmental, you document and effectively communicate it to the appropriate stakeholder(s).
Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause
bility to read advanced engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
bility to use manufacturing systems, e.g., ERP, Agile, EMES
Maintain necessary product records and documentation
bility to comprehend and use product/process component datasheets
bility to assemble and disassemble products, including prototypes
bility to perform intermediate mechanical work
bility to train or direct other technicians and operators
Basic understanding and Ability to learn Studio 5000 and ladder logic for PLC controls
Basic experience and ability to learn and utilize complex robot features (Fanuc/UR Robot)
bility to research, tabulate, and summarize data
Know/Participation in PFMEA review
