CNC Machinist (Willing to Train) - Precision Manufacturing

This is a rare chance to join one of the region's few short run, high precision machining shops , specializing in complex, one off and small batch parts for highly regulated industries. They are willing to train motivated individuals who are eager to learn and can retain technical information. If you've worked with machinery of any kind-or simply have the drive to master CNC machining-this is an excellent fit.
What You'll Do
Train in the complete setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes
Run small batch jobs (typically fewer than 50 parts per setup)
Perform your own quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and fixtures
Handle finishing work such as sanding and grinding when needed
Machine a wide range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, plastics, brass, and more
Work on parts requiring multiple operations and high precision
Learn to edit programs at the machine using GibbsCAM, Fusion, or Esprit
Top Skills & Experience
Required (or Will Train):
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and quality control documents
Interest in learning CNC machining and retaining technical training
Preferred:
Experience operating machinery (CNC or non CNC)
Manufacturing, machine operation, or changeovers
Familiarity with CNC mills/lathes, micrometers, inspection tools
2 year CNC machining degree (a plus, not required)

Work Environment & Schedule
Training Period (1-4 weeks):
Day Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
After Training:
Night Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM
Shift differential included in offer
Weekend Shift:
Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Work 36 hours, paid for 40
Overtime paid for hours above 36

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Horace, ND.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
