The Warehouse Associate Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role within an indirect materials warehouse. This position performs regular warehouse duties while also helping guide and support warehouse associates during the shift. The Team Lead helps ensure operations run safely, accurately, and efficiently, and serves as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational questions or issues.This is a 2nd shift role, approximately 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend overtime on a rotating basis.Pay Rate: $23-25 per hourAt this auto facility, the client manages the maintenance parts crib inside the plant. They track and distribute about 4,000 spare parts and consumables that maintenance uses to keep equipment and facilities running.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Warehouse Operations
• Perform core warehouse tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, cycle counting, and shipping inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow all warehouse procedures.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through proper handling and system transactions.
• Support timely order fulfillment to meet internal and customer needs.Team Support and Leadership
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to warehouse associates during the shift.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
• Reinforce warehouse procedures and safety practices.
• Promote a positive and safety-focused team environment.Workflow Coordination
• Help organize daily tasks and workflow to keep operations running smoothly.
• Monitor work progress and identify potential issues or delays.
• Escalate operational or inventory concerns to warehouse management when needed.Continuous Improvement
• Help identify ways to improve safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
• Participate in improvement projects related to processes, layout, or inventory management.
• Support the implementation of new processes or operational standards.Safety and Compliance
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
• Identify and report safety concerns or hazards.
• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related warehouse or operational experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Windows.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by the employer.
• Ability to operate or be trained to operate forklifts and powered industrial vehicles.Skills
