Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.
The Global Development & Programming department works as the bridge between Sony's domestic and international TV arms, assisting in developing and selling upcoming global television shows produced by the studios while also maintaining an internal slate.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting department with day-to-day functions and material organization - updating and creating grids, note taking on calls and meetings, scheduling meetings with key partners and producers, etc.
- Reading and providing feedback on incoming and existing material.
- Sitting in on meetings and discussions about projects.
Qualifications: - Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable with excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Passion for television and development for scripted programming on a global scale.
- Interest in the entertainment industry both domestically and internationally. Bonus points if familiar with international content
- Good eye for creative storytelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
