Job Title: Packer Operator Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience and will be responsible for floating through various tasks and areas within the production environment. This role involves making machine adjustments based on product specifications, packaging sizes, and barcoding for traceability. You will handle packages ranging from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes and will be tasked with manual stacking and dumping totes of raw product into mills. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust machines according to product specifications and packaging size.

• Handle package weights from 5 lb bags to 2000 lb totes.

• Ensure every package is barcoded for traceability.

• Create labels using computer systems.

• Manually stack bags onto pallets.

• Dump totes of raw product into mills.

• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Essential Skills

• Forklift experience

• Packing and general labor skills

• Knowledge of GMP and food production standards

• Experience with machine operation and packaging

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High integrity and character due to food-grade environment

• Non-allergic to wheat, sesame, coconut, oats, and dust

Work Environment

The work environment includes non-slip shoes, uniforms, masks, and hairnets provided. The shifts are Monday to Friday, with one opening on each shift: 5 AM to 1:30 PM and a flexible option from 1 PM to 9:30 PM. New employees start directly on their shift but must arrive 15-30 minutes early for uniform fitting and check-in.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
