Main Responsibilities: • Develop electrification control solutions at both component and system levels for a broad range of applications using a model-based design approach. • Evaluate control designs through analysis, simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, laboratory testing, and field testing. • Interface with stakeholders to develop control system requirements that support vehicle electrification solutions. • Conduct electric drive and vehicle system simulations to support control system development and vehicle performance assessments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

What Skills You Need: • 2 or more years of experience in power electronics or control algorithm development. • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape. • Experience simulating power electronics, electric machines, and/or control systems. • Effective written and verbal communication skills (English). • Relevant academic research experience will be equally considered. What Makes You Stand Out: • Hands-on laboratory or vehicle testing experience with power electronics or electric motors. • Experience with Hardware-in-Loop testing. • Experience with auto-code generation and embedded software implementation on microcontrollers and FPGAs. • Working knowledge of version control and Agile software development • Experience with advanced research topics. • Experience with power electronics hardware or software design. • Experience with advanced control systems and techniques such as observers, model predictive control, filter design, etc. • Experience with power electronics control and electric motor control. • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on power electronics and/or control systems. Education: • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
