Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description

Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where you will be responsible for transporting bags of seed to the shipping area and efficiently loading and unloading trucks. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to operate a forklift and perform physical labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Transport seed bags to the designated shipping area.

• Load and unload trucks using proper techniques and equipment.

• Utilize paper pick sheets for accurate inventory management.

• Operate forklift and pallet jack for material handling.

• Ensure proper documentation with bills of lading.

• Maintain inventory control and order picking accuracy.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation with at least 1 year of experience.

• Ability to lift 60 lbs and perform repetitive lifting of 30-50 lbs.

• Proficiency in inventory control and order picking.

• Experience in shipping and receiving processes.

• Effective use of RF scanner and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of previous physical labor work experience.

• 1 year of order picking/shipping experience.

Work Environment

Work inside a warehouse and production facility that is clean and organized. The environment can be colder during the winter months and hotter during the summer, with a possibility of dust. The facility is non-temperature controlled and features racking and seed bags.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST FARGO, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
